Warsaw Vodka Factory "Koneser"

The Koneser is a brick industrial complex with Neo-Gothic elements, occupying a large urban block bordered by several streets in the Praga neighborhood. The grounds feature sturdy buildings with tall chimneys and preserved production structures that visibly reflect its manufacturing heritage.

The complex was built in 1895 and became one of the region's major distilleries, producing well-known vodka brands that sold widely. The factory operated for over a century before closing in the early 2000s.

The site houses a museum dedicated to vodka heritage and traditional production methods, with exhibits showing distillation equipment and copper vessels used in the craft. Visitors today experience how this drink shaped local work and daily life in the neighborhood.

The site is best explored on foot, as the various buildings are spread across the grounds and interconnected by outdoor passages. Wear comfortable shoes since the pathways include cobblestones and uneven surfaces.

The grounds once contained an artesian well that supplied water specifically for production, making this location strategically valuable for the industry. Few visitors realize this self-sufficient water source contributed to the factory's long operational success.
