Polish Vodka Museum in Warsaw, Museum of spirits in Praga-Północ, Warsaw, Poland
The Polish Vodka Museum is a museum in the Praga-Północ district of Warsaw, housed in a former distillery and rectification building within the Koneser Praga Center. It displays a wide collection of bottles, glasses, labels, and production equipment that traces different methods and product variations across generations.
Vodka production in Poland dates to the Middle Ages, when distillates were first used for medicinal purposes before becoming a widespread drink. The museum opened in 2018 inside a building that was itself part of this long production history.
The exhibits show how this spirit became part of Polish celebrations, family gatherings, and everyday social moments. Visitors can follow, through original bottles, labels, and posters, how tastes and drinking habits shifted over time.
The museum is open Tuesday through Sunday and sits within the Koneser Center complex, which is easy to navigate on foot and has several restaurants and shops nearby. Guided tours and tastings are available and help make sense of the collection.
Inside the museum, a small cinema screens films on the history of the drink, and an academy runs workshops on production and tasting. A separate event space called Scena Kotłownia occupies the old boiler house and hosts concerts and performances.
