Serock is a small village in Gmina Pruszcz, in the Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship of central Poland. It sits in a flat, rural area surrounded by fields and patches of woodland typical of this part of the country.
The village is an old settlement in the Kujawy region, shaped by centuries of farming and rural life. In September 1939, German forces carried out operations in the area that left a deep mark on the local community.
Serock has two Catholic churches, the Church of the Immaculate Conception and the Church of Our Lady of the Rosary, which is rare for a village of this size. Both are easy to spot as you walk through the settlement and give a sense of how central faith has been to daily life here.
