Dąb Warcisław

The Dąb Warcisław is an ancient oak tree located near Ustronie Morskie on the Pomeranian coast. It grows in a beech forest alongside the remains of another historic oak, forming a distinctive woodland setting.

The tree originated in the late 14th century and now ranks among the oldest documented trees in West Pomerania. Its name was formally established in 2000 to commemorate a medieval prince.

The tree carries the name of Prince Warcisław III, linking it to the region's medieval past. Local visitors recognize it as a symbol of the area's connection to the Pomeranian rulers.

The tree is best reached via the blue tourist trail from Bagicz railway station, located near National Road 11. The site sits in a quiet forest area, so visitors should come prepared with proper walking shoes and weather-appropriate clothing.

The tree is more than 600 years old and one of the few remaining witnesses to the region's historic forest landscape. Its remarkable longevity is supported by the fertile soil conditions of the beech forest in which it grows.
