Orthodox church in Sławatycze

This brick structure showcases Russian Revival architecture with multiple domes and detailed exterior ornamentation. The complex includes a fenced cemetery with graves from different centuries.

The church was built between 1910 and 1912 and was later registered as a historic monument in Lublin Voivodeship. This protected status recognizes its value as an architectural heritage site for the region.

The Church of the Intercession of the Theotokos is active today under the Polish Autocephalous Orthodox Church and serves the local Orthodox community through regular worship. The place demonstrates how Eastern Orthodox traditions remain part of Poland's religious life.

The site is fenced and allows visitors to view the exterior and the adjoining cemetery. Keep in mind that the church remains active for regular services, so visiting during non-service hours is advised.

The cemetery on the grounds contains graves from both the 17th and 20th centuries, spanning hundreds of years. This layering of burials shows the long continuity of this place as a burial site.
