Niemirów is a village in Podlaskie Voivodeship situated along the Bug River in a landscape dominated by agricultural land. The settlement features a traditional market square layout and sits close to the Belarusian border.
The name came from King Zygmunt August in 1548 when he granted the settlement to nobleman Stanisław Niemira, replacing its original name Niwice. The church was built in the 1600s and substantially renovated in the 1700s, marking important moments in the community's development.
