Niemirów, Village in Podlaskie Voivodeship, Poland

Niemirów sits along the Bug River near the Belarus border, surrounded by agricultural fields and containing a traditional market square layout.

The village received its name in 1548 when King Zygmunt August granted the settlement to nobleman Stanisław Niemira, changing it from its original name Niwice.

The Saint Stanislaus Church, constructed in 1620 and rebuilt in 1775, stands as a central religious monument with an adjacent bell tower gate from 1823.

The settlement lies 8 kilometers southeast of Mielnik and 25 kilometers southeast of Siemiatycze, connecting residents to larger administrative centers.

Archaeological findings reveal that both Mazovian and Ruthenian settlers inhabited this region, indicating a mixed cultural heritage dating back to the 11th century.
