Ksawerów, Warsaw, Residential district in Mokotów, Warsaw, Poland.
Ksawerów is a residential neighborhood in the Mokotów district of southern Warsaw combining homes with office buildings. The area spans across a substantial territory with a mix of older houses and modern complexes throughout its streets.
The neighborhood grew from a 1456 settlement called Szopy and later developed around the Królikarnia palace built in 1786 and Ksawerów Manor constructed in 1840. These two structures remain defining features of the area today.
The Sculpture Park surrounds the neoclassical Królikarnia palace, which houses the Xawery Dunikowski Museum with permanent collections of Polish sculptural works. The museum displays pieces by one of Poland's most important sculptors of the 20th century.
Two stations on the Warsaw Metro M1 line, Wilanowska and Wierzbno, provide direct access to the neighborhood and its office district. Public transportation makes getting around the area easy and convenient.
The eastern section along Wołoska Street contains one of Warsaw's largest office complexes, known locally as Mordor. This nickname humorously references the massive appearance and architectural dominance of this modern development.
