Rogowo, Gryfice County, Coastal village in West Pomeranian Voivodeship, Poland
Rogowo is a village on the Baltic Sea coast in West Pomeranian Voivodeship. It stretches along the shoreline about 11 kilometers north of Trzebiatów with the typical layout of a rural coastal settlement.
The settlement began in the 10th century as part of the Polish state and later became part of the Duchy of Pomerania during the period of territorial fragmentation. This affiliation shaped its path for centuries.
The settlement is rooted in farming traditions and functions as a local hub for surrounding rural communities in the area. Visitors can observe how these agricultural practices shape daily life and the character of the place.
The village is best explored on foot since most areas are relatively close together. Access is possible year-round, though warmer months are more comfortable for visits.
A military garrison was stationed here from 1952 to 1998, guarding the coastal region during the Cold War. Today little remains visible of this military past in the village.
