Rędziński Bridge, Cable-stayed bridge in Wrocław, Poland

The Rędziński Bridge spans across the Odra River with a single pylon reaching 122 meters in height and 160 suspension cables stretching 1742 meters.

The construction of this bridge, part of the A8 motorway ring road, began in 2008 and opened to traffic in August 2011 after surviving a flood in 2010.

The bridge received its name through a public vote organized by the General Directorate for National Roads and Motorways, with 55 percent of participants choosing Rędziński Bridge.

The structure carries three lanes of traffic in each direction, connecting northern Wrocław to the A8 motorway network while spanning the Odra River and Rędzin Island.

The bridge deck covers 70,000 square meters, making it the largest reinforced concrete bridge surface in the world, with cables containing enough wire to stretch from Wrocław to Tokyo.
