Baj Pomorski Theater, Puppet theater in Toruń, Poland
The theater resides in a building on Piernikarska Street with a facade designed to look like a large wooden wardrobe with ornate decorations.
The institution started in 1945 in Bydgoszcz under Irena Pikiel-Samorewiczowa's leadership before relocating to Toruń in 1946 to occupy the former German Castle Theatre.
The theater presents performances for both children and adults, featuring puppet shows, contemporary plays, and educational programs that engage the local community.
Following renovations in 2006, the auditorium expanded to accommodate 304 seats, equipped with modern lighting and sound systems for diverse staging possibilities.
The building incorporates Gothic architectural elements with contemporary design features, including irregular shapes constructed from varied materials such as brick and glass.
