This Eastern Orthodox church features seven domes and red brick walls in Krynica-Zdroj. The building rises 46 meters and its distinctive domes create a recognizable landmark in the town.
Construction began in the 1980s and took nearly two decades to complete. The bell tower dome was added as a final phase in the early 2000s.
The church takes its name from the saint who brought Christianity to Kiev centuries ago. When you enter, the interior reflects the customs and artistic traditions of Eastern Slavic worship.
The building is usually open when services are not taking place. Visit during quiet hours of the day to explore the interior without interruption.
The building houses a painted wooden iconostasis from the 19th century that was brought here from elsewhere. This carved woodwork displays artistic techniques rarely seen in this region.
