The Wąwóz Myśliborski koło Jawora nature reserve is a protected area in Lower Silesia, Poland, located close to the town of Jawora. It consists of a gorge shaped by the Myśliborski Stream, with rocky slopes, moist valley floors, and a wide range of plant communities spread across the site.
The area was placed under formal protection in 1962 by the Polish Ministry of Forestry to safeguard its geological and biological features. This decision laid the foundation for lasting conservation of a gorge shaped by geological processes over many thousands of years.
The reserve sits within Chełmy Landscape Park and draws school groups and nature lovers from the surrounding area throughout the year. Along the path, exposed rock faces and plant communities are easy to observe and give a sense of how varied the landscape really is.
The reserve is reached via yellow-marked trails starting from the village of Myślibórz, which lead through the gorge. Some sections are steep and can become slippery after rain, so sturdy footwear is a good idea before setting out.
The gorge holds the only known population of hart's tongue fern in all of Lower Silesia, which makes this spot botanically rare. The rocks in the gorge also carry traces of ancient underwater volcanic activity that took place long before the current landscape took shape.
