Rezerwat przyrody Las Natoliński, Nature reserve in Wilanów, Poland.
Rezerwat przyrody Las Natolinski is a protected woodland area in Warsaw spanning more than 100 hectares of old-growth forest with numerous oak trees and diverse plant life. The terrain displays natural variations with different elevations and forest layers.
The forest was protected in 1991 and preserves a remaining fragment of the ancient Mazovian Forest that once spread across central Poland. Its protection represents efforts to safeguard this historic woodland landscape for coming generations.
The forest serves as a learning space where school groups explore woodland ecosystems and environmental protection in practice. Visitors experience how this place brings together people who care about safeguarding natural habitats.
Visits require advance booking and take place only with certified guides in groups limited to 29 people maximum. This organized approach protects the woodland while allowing visitors a structured experience in nature.
The reserve contains the highest concentration of middle spotted woodpeckers in the Mazovia region, a rare woodpecker species. It also holds up to 1000 massive trees of significant age that form the core of this forest area.
