Jagodna Hostel, Mountain hut in Spalona, Poland
The Jagodna Hostel is a mountain accommodation near Jagodna Pass in the Spalona area of Lower Silesia. It provides rooms at roughly 977 meters elevation with direct access to marked hiking trails and ski slopes.
The building was founded in 1895 and replaced an earlier roadside inn that served travelers crossing the Bystrzycki Mountains. This transformation marked its shift into an established mountain hostel.
The hostel is operated by the Polish Tourist and Sightseeing Society and maintains traditional mountain hospitality practices. Guests can taste regional dishes from Lower Silesia that reflect local culinary traditions.
The facility offers free parking and Wi-Fi in common areas, along with kitchen facilities for self-catering guests. Visitors can access marked trails directly from the property for hiking or skiing.
A 21-meter observation tower was built in 2019 on the Jagodna peak and offers views of surrounding mountain chains. The tower gives visitors an expanded perspective of the landscape from an elevated vantage point.
