Schronisko PTTK Roztoka is a mountain shelter located in Roztoka Valley in the Tatra Mountains at about 1031 meters elevation. The facility provides sleeping accommodations in shared rooms and communal dining areas for hikers and mountain visitors.
The shelter was founded in 1876 and became the second mountain hut built by the Tatra Society in the Tatra Mountains. It bears the name of Wincenty Pol, connecting its history to the early development of mountain recreation in the region.
The kitchen serves regional specialties such as mushroom soup, garlic soup, handmade pierogi, and apple pie that reflect the eating traditions of the Tatra region. These dishes connect visitors with the everyday food culture of mountain communities.
The hut has a small shop selling basic supplies, snacks, and drinks for visitors on the trail. Staff can offer advice about hiking routes and the best times for walking in the surrounding area.
This location serves as a starting point for numerous hiking trails leading to peaks such as Rysy and Ganek nearby. This makes it a central base for climbers and hikers aiming to reach these well-known summits.
