Rusinowa Polana

Rusinowa Polana is a mountain meadow in Małe Ciche at about 1210 meters elevation, from which you can see the High Tatras and Bielskie Tatras. The clearing is surrounded by forest and sits along a hiking path through wooded areas.

The Wiktorówki Chapel was built nearby in the 1930s and came under the care of Dominican monks. This building marks an important point in the religious history of the mountain region.

A wooden hut at the meadow's edge sells traditional sheep milk products like local cheese during grazing season. This simple way of working shows how herders have used the highland for generations.

To reach the meadow, follow the hiking path from Wierch Poroniec parking through forest trails with a moderate slope. Wear sturdy hiking shoes and be ready for changing weather at this elevation.

Near the chapel, memorial boards honor mountaineers who died in the Tatra Mountains while climbing. This memorial reflects the risks that climbers have faced over the years.
