Stogi, Administrative district in Gdańsk, Poland.
Stogi is a district on Port Island that spans roughly 11 square kilometers and sits between the Bay of Gdańsk and a branch of the Dead Vistula River. The area combines residential neighborhoods with sandy beach sections and direct waterfront access.
The area was originally known as Heubude before being incorporated into Danzig in 1914. A streetcar line opened in 1927 and connected this coastal area to the city proper.
The district has grown into a recreational hub where residents and visitors spend warm days on the beach and along the waterfront promenade. The shoreline creates a space where daily relaxation stands apart from the busy city center.
The district is easily reached by streetcar line 9, which runs directly to the beach and Stogi Plaza shopping center. The trip from downtown takes about 20 minutes and stops are located near main attractions.
A striking lighthouse in the northern corner of the district rises roughly 61 meters and serves as a distinctive landmark for passing ships. The structure dates to when the area was an important port zone.
