Wyżnia Kondracka Przełęcz, Mountain saddle in Tatra Mountains, Poland.
Wyżnia Kondracka Przełęcz is a mountain saddle in the Western Tatra range situated at 1725 meters elevation, connecting two neighboring peaks. It forms a natural gateway that allows hikers to move between adjacent valleys on the western side.
Local mountain communities have used this saddle as a transit route between valleys for generations. The path was later incorporated into the developing system of marked trails that opened the Tatra Mountains to wider exploration.
The saddle serves as a gathering spot for mountain hikers from across Poland, particularly during summer months. People meet here to experience their shared passion for trekking in the Tatra region.
The route follows a blue-marked trail starting from Kuźnice and ascending through Kondratowa Valley to reach the saddle. Hikers should wear sturdy boots, bring weather-appropriate gear, and attempt the climb only in stable conditions.
From the saddle, hikers can see both Kondratowa Valley to the east and Mała Łąka Valley to the west in a single view. This rare vantage point reveals how the terrain drops away in completely different directions from this high point.
