Uraz Castle

Uraz Castle is a medieval fortress in Lower Silesia whose surviving walls and structures occupy elevated ground near the Oder River. The remains display typical medieval building features with defensive elements designed to control the valley and waterway below.

The fortress originated around 1400 and served the local nobility as an administrative seat and strategic stronghold. It played a role in regional control and defense across several centuries of medieval life.

The ruins lie near Wrocław and are accessible on foot via marked trails through the village. The best time to visit is during drier months, as the paths and stone structures can become slippery.
