Zamczysko, Archaeological site in northern Bydgoszcz, Poland.

The settlement occupies a strategic position on a moraine promontory near the Vistula River, featuring steep slopes and defensive earthworks from ancient times.

Archaeological excavations conducted between 1938 and 1993 revealed that the fortified settlement existed from the 6th to 10th centuries AD.

The site contains over 1200 pottery fragments, bronze ornaments, and stone tools representing both Lusatian culture and early medieval periods.

Located near National Road 5 connecting Bydgoszcz to Gdańsk, the site maintains regular opening hours and offers guided tours for visitors.

Two distinct ash layers discovered in the moat indicate the settlement underwent multiple reconstructions following destruction events throughout its history.
