"Park w Reptach i dolina rzeki Dramy" Natural and Landscape Complex

Park w Reptach and the Drama River Valley is a protected natural area spanning several hundred hectares with forests, meadows, and riverine habitats. Walking and cycling routes navigate through the space, revealing its layered landscape of woodland and open ground.

The Henckel von Donnersmarck family developed this land as a hunting estate in the 1800s, introducing landscape features designed in the English garden tradition. Their investment in shaping the grounds left a lasting imprint on the area's structure and appearance.

The hunting lodge built in 1840 and the palace from 1893 to 1898 represent the architectural taste of wealthy Silesian families who shaped this land. Walking through the grounds, you encounter these structures as focal points that tell stories of 19th century estate life.

The area has marked trails for walking and cycling, split across two sections with different access points. Plan a visit during daylight hours and bring suitable clothing for changing weather conditions typical of forests and river valleys.

The valley section harbors rare plant species like hollow birthwort that grow only in specific damp zones. Protected ancient trees including beeches, lindens, and alders shape the forest character and reveal the long history of these woods.
