Fabryka Fortepianów i Pianin Arnold Fibiger, Piano manufacturing complex in Kalisz, Poland
The Arnold Fibiger Piano Factory created grand pianos and upright pianos in a three-story industrial building with red brick architecture and large windows.
Established in 1878 by Gustav Arnold Fibiger I, the factory manufactured its first concert grand piano in 1885, marking a milestone in Polish instrument production.
The factory earned recognition at international exhibitions, receiving gold medals in Paris in 1906 and London in 1907 for their musical instruments.
The factory remained in operation until 2007, producing up to 1,300 instruments annually during its peak in the 1960s under the Calisia brand name.
The Technical School of Piano Construction in Kalisz, established in 1954, trained specialists in piano manufacturing to support the factory operations.
