Laznia Centre for Contemporary Art

Laznia Centre is a contemporary art institution housed in a renovated historic building in the Dolne Miasto district, featuring multiple exhibition halls, a cinema, and workshop spaces for artistic programs. The layout allows visitors to experience art exhibitions and film screenings in separate dedicated areas within the same location.

The building began as a public bathhouse in the early 1900s and was converted into a contemporary art center in 1998. This transformation gave the historic structure a new cultural purpose while preserving its architectural character.

The center maintains a regular schedule of temporary exhibitions, film screenings, and educational programs that connect international artists with local audiences.

The center opens Tuesday through Sunday, and visitors can explore the exhibition halls and cinema at their own pace or book a guided tour in advance. Multiple languages are available for tours, making the experience accessible to international guests.

The institution runs an international artist residency program at a separate location in Nowy Port, where creators work on extended projects beyond typical gallery exhibitions. This program brings work from artists around the world into the space, offering perspectives you would not find elsewhere in the city.
