Jasne Błonia in Szczecin

Jasne Błonia is a large green space in central Szczecin with broad lawns and straight pathways designed for easy movement. Rows of plane trees line the grounds and create natural shade, with dedicated zones for sports and family activities scattered throughout.

This green space was created in the 1920s as part of Szczecin's urban development plan and received distinctive tree planting from the beginning. The original vegetation and layout established the character that endures today.

The space functions as a social hub where residents gather for markets, concerts, and seasonal celebrations throughout the year. You will see locals using the open lawns for picnics and afternoon relaxation, especially when weather permits.

The space is easily accessible on foot from different parts of the city with multiple entry points available. The flat paths and open areas work well for walking at any pace, and shaded seating areas can be found beneath the trees.

The plane trees here form one of the largest continuous collections of this species found anywhere in Poland. Beyond their size, these trees actively shape the microclimate and create a distinctive sense of place that sets this green space apart.
