The Saint James Church features a 49-meter tower, red brick construction, and measures 53 meters in length and 28.80 meters in width.
Construction of the church began in 1309 when Bishop Herman of Chełmno laid the foundation stone for this medieval religious structure.
The church contains medieval wall paintings, Gothic sculptures, and a Renaissance organ prospectus, representing various periods of religious art.
Visitors can access the church from Tuesday to Saturday between 10:30 AM and 2:30 PM, and on Sundays from 2:30 PM to 4:30 PM during summer months.
The church displays an unusual structural system that transfers the weight of the main nave vault to the buttresses of side aisles.
