Church of St. John the Evangelist in Zakopane

The church features covered cloisters around its perimeter, with decorated domed towers and traditional wooden architectural elements throughout the structure.

Originally constructed between 1710 and 1720 in Zakrzów, the church was transported by train and reconstructed in Zakopane during 1947 and 1948.

The interior contains regional highland religious art, including glass paintings, wooden carved figures of the Apostles, and traditional votive offerings.

Located at 14a Harenda Street, the church holds regular services on Sundays and holidays at 8:00 AM, 11:00 AM, and 7:00 PM in summer.

The ceiling of the chancel displays detailed paintings of the Coronation of the Virgin Mary surrounded by numerous angels in Italian style.
