Korbania, Mountain summit in Western Bieszczady Mountains, Poland.
Korbania is a mountain summit in the Western Bieszczady Mountains that reaches 894 meters above sea level. Dense forests cover the slopes, becoming sparser as you approach the open summit area.
The name comes from Romanian origins, where 'corb' means raven, and the peak was previously called Patryja in the 1800s. This naming history reflects the cultural ties of this mountain region near the historical border.
The northern section of Ciśniańsko-Wetliński Landscape Park extends along the summit, protecting the natural heritage of the Bieszczady region. Visitors can observe the distinctive plant and animal life typical of this mountain area while walking around the peak.
The green marked trail from Bukowiec provides the most direct route to the summit and is favored by most visitors. Multiple paths lead to the top, all clearly marked for easy navigation during your climb.
A concrete geodetic triangulation point marks the summit alongside a wooden observation tower built in September 2014. This tower extends views across the surrounding mountain landscape beyond what the bare peak alone would provide.
