Lasek Marceliński, Forest park in western Poznań, Poland
Lasek Marceliński is a large forest area in Poznań with extensive terrain covered by unpaved paths that connect different sections of woodland and open spaces. The landscape includes mixed vegetation and recreational zones accessible from multiple points around the perimeter.
The forest area developed after World War II from former farmland that gradually became a natural recreation space for the city. Its current layout was shaped through various development projects over the following decades.
The park serves as a weekly gathering point for parkrun events, where runners participate in organized timed activities throughout the year.
Access is available through multiple entry points around the site, with parking available near forest management facilities and residential areas. The unpaved paths are walkable year-round but are most pleasant during drier seasons.
The site contains a sledding and cycling hill constructed in 2002 from materials relocated from central Poznań, creating a distinctive elevated feature. This recycled hill now serves as a popular spot for winter and summer recreation activities.
