Mała Sobótka

Mała Sobótka is an artificial hill in the Grabiszynek district with pathways leading to its summit. The slopes offer views across the area, though vegetation has grown thicker over the decades.

The hill was created in the 1880s when the Wrocław Society for Beautification used surplus soil from railway construction to build it up. This project was part of a larger effort to make the city greener and more attractive.

The hill is named after a nearby church and serves residents as a green space for walking and short outings in the neighborhood. Behind the trees are quieter spots where people gather for simple outdoor moments.

The hill has two sledding slopes that are popular in winter, especially with children and families. It is best to visit early in the day when the paths are less crowded and lighting is better for walking.

The Grabiszynka stream originates on the hill's northern side and then flows underground through the neighborhood. This hidden water source is often overlooked by visitors but played a role in the site's original development.
