Most Cłowy w Szczecinie, Steel bridge in Szczecin, Poland.
Most Cłowy is a steel bridge crossing the Regalica River and connecting the eastern and western parts of Szczecin. The structure comprises three spans of different lengths and underwent complete renovation in 2017 with new steel components installed for improved stability.
The original bridge built in 1911 was destroyed in 1945 and replaced by a temporary Bailey bridge before the current steel structure was completed in 1960. The new construction preserved parts of the original foundations.
The bridge serves as the main connection between two sides of the city, playing a role in daily movement and trade. It reflects how the city rebuilt itself and reconnected its separated districts after wartime destruction.
The river below accommodates boat traffic, so water levels may vary depending on navigation activity and season. Sidewalks are available on both sides of the bridge for safe pedestrian crossing.
The bridge uses hydraulic cylinders to position its three spans, a technical solution installed during the 2017 renovation. This system allows precise alignment and contributes to long-term structural stability.
