Bascule bridge over Regalica

The Bascule bridge over the Regalica is a railway structure with five spans, featuring a movable central section that can be raised. This design allows river traffic to pass beneath the bridge when the central span is lifted.

The bridge was built in 1877 as an engineering solution for crossing the river. After being destroyed in 1945, it was reconstructed and returned to service in 1949.

The structure has become a notable landmark in the city's identity and draws attention from people exploring Szczecin. It represents a connection across the river and serves as a reminder of the city's industrial engineering past.
