Myślenickie Turnie, Mountain summit in Tatra Mountains, Poland
Myślenickie Turnie is a limestone peak in the Tatra Mountains reaching 1354 meters, positioned between Goryczkowa Valley and Kasprowa Valley. The summit sits within upper montane forest and forms a distinctive point in the mountain landscape.
The most significant development occurred in 1935 with the construction of a cable car station, which improved access to the Kasprowy Wierch area. This infrastructure changed how visitors could reach the surrounding mountains.
The name comes from the nearby town of Myślenice, and hikers use this summit as a landmark on their mountain journeys. The peak remains an important waypoint in local climbing traditions.
A green-marked trail from Kuźnice reaches the summit in about 75 minutes over varied mountain terrain. Starting early ensures enough daylight for the climb and exploration of the surrounding area.
Several caves lie within the limestone structure, including Jaskinia Zwolińskiego and Myślenicka Dziura, often overlooked by passing hikers. These underground formations reveal the geological history of the region.
