Osiedle Bronowice Nowe, Residential development in Bronowice district, Krakow, Poland.
Osiedle Bronowice Nowe is a residential development that stretches along the eastern side of Armii Krajowej Street in Krakow. The area is bordered by Balicka, Zarzecze, and Na Błonie streets and contains apartments, shops, and open spaces for daily use.
This residential area was built in the mid-1970s using large-panel construction methods typical of that era. It was originally called Widok but was renamed Osiedle Bronowice Nowe during the 1990s.
The Church of Saint John Kanty, built between 1983 and 1992, serves as a central gathering place for residents. It shapes the character of the neighborhood and hosts community events throughout the year.
The area includes Primary School No. 153 and the XVIII High School, with a tram terminal at its western boundary. Visitors can easily walk through the neighborhood and find good sidewalks and bike paths throughout.
Many residents still use the older name Widok in everyday conversation, even though official documents use the newer name. This dual identity shows how neighborhood names remain rooted in local memory despite official changes.
