Park Miejski im. Stanisława Staszica w Pile

The park spreads across roughly 11.5 hectares in western Piła and centers around a main pond with walking paths throughout. Multiple native trees, flower beds, and small water features define different zones within the grounds.

It was established in 1896 on former marshland and originally called Schützenpark. A major expansion between 1927 and 1929 significantly increased its size.

The park was named in 1955 to honor Stanisław Staszic, a scholar and reformer, with a bronze bust by sculptor Feliks Piątek serving as a focal point. Visitors often gather near this monument, which has become an important landmark in the community.

There are multiple entrances from Chopina, Matejki, and Paderewskiego streets, allowing flexible routes through the space. You will find children's playgrounds, seasonal activities like outdoor yoga in summer, and designated concert areas.

An Art Nouveau iron gazebo from 1904 still stands near the central pond as a rare surviving example from that era. Replica period street lamps and decorative bridges throughout the grounds echo this historical aesthetic.
