Młociny Park, Urban park in Bielany district, Warsaw, Poland
Młociny Park is an urban park covering approximately 103 hectares in the Bielany district stretching along the Vistula River. The space combines pine-oak forests, protected meadows, and recreational facilities within a natural setting.
The park originated in the late 1700s as a garden for Minister Heinrich Brühl's residence, designed by architect Szymon B. Zug. This early layout forms the foundation of the space that exists today.
The park contains memorials and burial sites from World War II, serving as a place of remembrance for fallen soldiers within the forest landscape. These sites are woven into the natural surroundings and tell stories of the region's past.
Multiple circular trails connect parking areas, playgrounds, fitness paths, and picnic spots throughout the space. Wooden observation platforms are positioned at key vantage points for viewing the surroundings.
The area maintains notably dense forest vegetation with substantial wood biomass that improves air quality in the surrounding city. The biomass density per hectare significantly exceeds national averages for urban forests.
