Palace in Antonin

The Palace in Antonin is a wooden residence with an octagonal central hall rising through three floors. Four wings extend in a cross formation from the main structure, and the grounds include an English-style park with a decorative pond.

A renowned architect designed this palace between 1822 and 1824 for a nobleman with an important political role. The estate became a significant residence in the first half of the 19th century.

The palace holds a place in Polish music history through performances by accomplished artists who visited during the 19th century. The grand spaces reflect how important musical gatherings were to the household.

Today this property operates as a hotel and restaurant with rooms in historic interiors. Visitors should allow time to explore the maintained park grounds and to walk through the main halls inside.

The central octagonal column in the main hall conceals eight chimney flues within its structure. The ceiling above displays painted wooden beams in a radiating pattern with colored designs that reveal themselves upon closer inspection.
