Żyrowa Palace

Żyrowa Palace is a Baroque manor house with symmetrical architecture surrounded by a landscaped park. The building features elaborate staircases and decorative details characteristic of its construction period.

Construction of the palace began under Prince Melchior Ferdinand von Gaschin between 1631 and 1644, incorporating older walls from the von Żyrowski family structure. This shows how new buildings often used existing foundations.

The complex reflects building traditions that Polish noble families favored during the 17th century. The arrangement of the main building, park, and farm buildings shows how such places served as centers of country life.

The palace is located in a rural area and is best reached by local transportation. Visitors should check access conditions in advance, as opening times and accessibility may be limited.

After World War II, the palace was converted into a children's sanatorium for medical care. The building was abandoned in the 1980s and has remained unused since.
