Rezerwat przyrody Gorzowskie Murawy, Nature reserve in Gorzów Wielkopolski, Poland.
Gorzowskie Murawy Nature Reserve is a protected area featuring sandy dunes, heathland, forests, and pine woodlands set across rolling terrain. The combination of open grasslands and forested sections creates a landscape with distinct ecological zones.
The area served as a military training ground until 1999 and was designated a protected reserve in 2006. This transition allowed the natural landscape to recover and be preserved.
The reserve represents one of Western Poland's most valuable grassland complexes, containing numerous protected plant species including feather grass and Siberian bellflower.
Visit with proper walking shoes as the terrain is hilly and sandy in places. The area is accessible year-round, though the ground conditions vary with the seasons.
The southern slopes support rare dry grassland plant communities that thrive on steep terrain and are seldom found elsewhere in the region. These specialized habitats make the reserve botanically distinctive.
