Prosta Tower, Office building in Wola district, Warsaw, Poland
Prosta Tower is an office building in Warsaw's Wola district, rising 19 floors to a height of 70 meters (230 ft). The facade alternates between glass surfaces and a projecting concrete front carved with a geometric diamond pattern, giving the building a recognizable exterior.
The building was completed in 2011, during a period when the Wola district was undergoing a deep transformation. A wave of new office towers went up in this area around the same time, changing the look of that part of Warsaw.
The building stands in Wola, a district that shifted from a working-class industrial area to Warsaw's main business corridor over recent decades. Walking around it today, you can still spot older low-rise factory buildings sitting alongside the newer glass towers.
The building sits right next to Daszyńskiego Roundabout, which is served by metro and several bus lines, making it easy to reach without a car. Drivers can use the underground parking levels located beneath the building.
The diamond-shaped carvings on the concrete part of the facade change appearance noticeably depending on the angle of the sunlight throughout the day. This means the building looks quite different in the morning compared to the afternoon, which is easy to notice from the street.
