15/17 Nowy Świat Street in Warsaw, Public building in Śródmieście district, Warsaw, Poland.

This brick structure at 15/17 Nowy Świat Street exhibits socialist realism architecture with its symmetrical facade and functional design elements.

The building, constructed in 1950, replaced two earlier tenement houses that were damaged during World War II and subsequently demolished.

From 1951 to 2022, the building contained the International Press and Book Club, later known as Empik, which served as a central point for literature and arts.

The property, currently owned by the State Treasury, stands empty since 2022 due to disputes over rent increases and renovation requirements.

The building features a distinctive inscription on its facade reading 'THE WHOLE NATION BVDVES ITS CITY' with an intentional archaic spelling.
