Old Miłosna, Residential neighborhood in southeastern Warsaw, Poland
Old Miłosna is a residential neighborhood in southeastern Warsaw located within the Wesoła district, set among wooded terrain. The area contains housing streets, small shops, and open green spaces that serve both residents and visitors.
The area began in the 14th century as a village called Milosina settled by Polish nobility, then gradually transformed into a suburban residential area. Over time it moved away from its origins as an aristocratic settlement to become an ordinary neighborhood.
The Polish Army Square in Old Miłosna preserves military heritage through its training grounds and commemorative elements connected to national defense history.
The neighborhood connects to central Warsaw through public transportation and the Warsaw-Terespol railway line. Visitors can walk through local streets and find nearby shops and services scattered throughout the area.
A palace belonging to Prince Franciszek Ksawery Drucki-Lubecki once stood here until its destruction during the Battle of Olszynka Grochowska in 1831. The building represented aristocratic presence before military conflict brought its end.
