Centrum Nauki Kopernik in Warsaw - Planetarium

The planetarium has a spherical projection dome measuring 16 meters (52 feet) across, which displays astronomical scenes using advanced digital systems. The theater seats approximately 139 people and projects images across the entire interior surface of the dome to create a fully surrounding experience.

This facility opened in 2011 as a key part of the Copernicus Science Centre, introducing advanced planetarium technology to Warsaw. Its creation represented an important step forward in bringing contemporary astronomical education to the country.

The dome brings together science and art through special shows that blend astronomy with music and creative storytelling. Visitors experience performances designed to connect the night sky with human imagination.

Arrive at least 10 minutes before a show starts, since entry is not allowed once the presentation begins. Getting there early helps you choose a good seat to fully enjoy the surrounding projection experience in the dome.

The projection system can display 20 million stars, allowing visitors to see the night sky from nearly any location on Earth. This level of detail lets people explore celestial views that would normally only be visible through telescopes or from specific observation sites.
