Sabała house in Zakopane

The Sabała house incorporates traditional mountain architecture with its dark wooden beams, steep roof, and decorated entrance at Krzeptówki street in Zakopane.

Built at the beginning of the 19th century, this residential structure belonged to Jan Krzeptowski Sabała, a mountain guide and storyteller known throughout the Tatra region.

The house contains a collection of period furniture, traditional tools, and photographs that document the life of the Goral people in the Tatra Mountains.

Visitors can reach the house by following Krzeptówki street to number 17, where guided tours explain the building's features and historical significance.

The structure features distinct spaces including a hall with a bread oven, a basement, and a covered well that maintains its original form from the 1800s.
