Park in Świerklaniec

The Park in Świerklaniec is a sprawling green space next to a lake, threaded with pathways and shaded by century-old oaks, pines, and chestnut trees. The mature trees and water views are central to how the grounds look and how people move through them.

The park was built as part of a large estate owned by the Donnersmarck family and designed for hunting pursuits. The Kawalera Palace nearby was constructed as a hunting lodge, revealing how the grounds served its aristocratic owners.

The park features an amphitheater and sculptures with decorative fountains that shape how visitors experience the grounds. These artistic elements are woven into the landscape and give the place a designed, intentional feel.

The grounds have play areas for children, walking paths of different difficulty levels, and water-based activities like kayaking available. Depending on the season, certain areas may be better suited for different types of visits.

The old guard house at the park entrance now serves as the local civil registry office, showing how former structures have taken on new roles. Similarly, a former Evangelical church building now serves the Roman Catholic community.
