Aqueduto de Santa Clara, 18th-century aqueduct in Vila do Conde, Portugal.

The Santa Clara Aqueduct extends for 4 kilometers from Terroso spring to the Santa Clara Convent, featuring stone arches along its path.

Construction began in 1626 under Abbess Maria de Meneses but halted until 1705, when Abbess Barbara Micaela de Ataide resumed the project until 1714.

The aqueduct received National Monument status in 1910, marking its contribution to Portuguese architectural and engineering achievements.

Visitors can observe the final section of arches along Rua Dom Nuno Alvares Pereira street in Vila do Conde.

The structure contains 999 perfect round arches, making it among the largest collection of continuous arches in water transport systems.
