Teatro Maria Matos

Teatro Maria Matos is a theater in the Alvalade district of Lisbon housed within a building that combines multiple cultural spaces. The venue has seating for around 450 people and operates as a multipurpose cultural facility alongside other functions within the same structure.

The building was designed by architect Fernando Ramalho and opened in October 1969 with its first theatrical performance. From its beginning, the space was intended as a cultural venue for the community and has served in that role ever since.
