Castelo da Dona Chica, Art Nouveau manor house in Palmeira, Portugal.

The four-story castle exhibits ornate Gothic elements, featuring wood and iron windows alongside distinctive green roof tiles that complement the surrounding landscape.

Swiss architect Ernesto Korrodi designed this residence in 1915 for João José Ferreira Rego and his Brazilian wife Francisca Peixoto Rego, but construction stopped in 1919.

The structure represents Northern Portuguese manorial architecture from the early 20th century, combining Art Nouveau, Renaissance, and Romanesque design elements.

The castle grounds contain pedestrian trails through dense vegetation, including numerous exotic plant species imported from Brazil and a small lake.

The interior of this Monument of Public Interest remains unfinished, providing insights into early 20th-century construction methods and architectural evolution.
