Igreja do Menino Deus, Baroque church in Santa Maria Maior, Lisbon, Portugal.

The Igreja do Menino Deus features a two-story stone facade with composite order columns and three empty niches on its upper floor.

King João V and Queen Mariana de Áustria commissioned the church in 1711, which survived the 1755 earthquake but endured fires in 1807 and 1847.

The interior displays eight chapels with gilded carvings and paintings by Portuguese artists André Gonçalves and Francisco Vieira Lusitano.

The church stands at Calçada do Menino de Deus 27 in Lisbon, near several historical landmarks of the Santa Maria Maior district.

The ceiling composition depicts the Apoteose de S. Francisco in a centralized plan shaped as a rectangle with cut angles forming an irregular octagon.
