Pavilhão Rosa Mota

The Pavilhão Rosa Mota is a large indoor multipurpose hall situated within the gardens of Palácio de Cristal and accommodates approximately 5,400 spectators. The facility hosts different types of events ranging from sports competitions to cultural programs under a covered roof.

The building was completed in 1954 originally as Pavilhão dos Desportos and was renamed in 1991 to honor Portuguese marathon runner Rosa Mota. This renaming recognized the sporting achievements of one of Portugal's most accomplished athletes.

The pavilion serves as a regular venue for basketball matches, concerts, and exhibitions that draw sports fans and culture enthusiasts from across Porto. Events held here reflect the diverse interests of residents, from professional competitions to local artistic performances.
