Macau Scientific and Cultural Centre Museum, Science museum in Lisbon, Portugal
The Macau Scientific and Cultural Centre Museum displays over 3,500 Chinese artifacts, including ceramics, decorative items, traditional costumes, and artworks in two exhibition sections.
The institution opened on April 20, 1995, to document the relations between China and Portugal through collections representing cultural exchanges between both nations.
The first floor presents 5,000 years of Chinese history through bronze artifacts, terracottas, stoneware, and porcelain collections from different dynasties.
The museum welcomes visitors from Tuesday to Sunday between 10:00 AM and 5:00 PM, with a 50% discount for Lisboa Card holders.
The collection contains an extensive array of opium-smoking equipment, featuring pipes and lamp stands that reflect historical consumption practices.
